The Grand Rapids Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (GRDCCW) invites all Catholic women to join them for the Detroit Province Council of Catholic Women Triennial Convention, Beacons of Light, being held April 24-25, 2020 in Frankenmuth, Michigan. This year’s event coincides with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Council of Catholic Women as the voice for all Catholic women instituted by the U.S. bishops in 1920. Join them for this event that will include Mass with several of our Michigan bishops, inspirational speakers, vendors, and fellowship with women from all over the state.

Mass will be concelebrated by Most Reverend David J. Walkowiak, bishop of Grand Rapids, Most Reverend Stephen J. Raica, bishop of Gaylord, Most Reverend Earl A. Boyea, bishop of Lansing, and Most Reverend Paul J. Bradley, bishop of Kalamazoo.

Speakers are:

Sister Janet Schaeffler - Sister Janet is a national leader, author, teacher and a Dominican sister.

Father Patrick Maher - Father Patrick is a priest of the Diocese of Gaylord serving St. Paul Parish, Onaway, and St. Monica Parish, Afton.

Bill Richart - Bill is the music director at St. William Parish in Walled Lake.

Elizabeth Gengle - Elizabeth is director of adult faith formation and high school youth ministry at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Petoskey. She established Movements of the Heart Retreat Ministry and is enthusiastic about Ignatian spirituality, the interior life, and St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.

Sheri Wohlfert - Sheri is a Catholic mom, wife, speaker, teacher and writer.
